WHY FINEFOLK

Good stuff only.

Not all nut butters are created equal. Some are bulked out with palm oil, sugar, or things you’ve never heard of. Ours are made with just two ingredients—organic when we can get them. That means no refined sugar, no filler oils, and no strange preservatives.

WHAT MATTERS.

Grow fair.

We want to build something that’s good in every sense. That means paying fair prices to growers, cutting out practices that hurt animals or ecosystems, and staying human-sized even as we scale. Growth isn’t worth it if it costs the planet or the people behind it. We’ll keep making choices that stand up to that, no matter how much we grow.

ONE BIG PROMISE

That hmm, yum moment.

Good food should change how you feel. It’s that hmm, yum moment with the first mouthful — it takes you somewhere warm and nostalgic. And when we get that right, well, you know you’re onto something. That’s what we strive for with every jar.

WAYS TO ENJOY NUT BUTTERS?

Slather on toast. Whirl into smoothies. Drizzle over fruit. Stir into sauces. Bake into something sweet. Or our favourite: straight off the spoon (or finger).

Recipes

Do I go smooth or crunchy (important question)?
Two camps, and people tend to be loyal. Our smooth is ground a little longer — softer, more pourable, and perfect for cooking, blending, or spooning straight from the jar. Our crunchy keeps its texture — thick, rustic, and full of roasted nut pieces. It’s the one that makes your toast feel like a proper meal. The difference really comes down to a passionate love of preference. Some say smooth is the only way; others won’t touch anything without a bit of crunch. We’re just here to make sure whichever side you’re on, you’re getting the good stuff.
How long does a jar stay fresh?
Our nut butters are best within 12 months. Once opened, enjoy as fresh as possible. Within a month or two is fine. Keep your jar in a cool, dry place, no need for the fridge. If the natural oils rise to the top, just give it a good stir.
What’s the deal with hi-oleic peanuts?
In the world of peanut butter, hi-oleic peanuts are as good as it gets. Big fact nerd alert (we love a big fact): they’re runner peanuts with a higher oleic-to-linoleic ratio — around 80% oleic compared to about 50% in regular peanuts — which makes their oil more stable. That means the flavour stays fresh and the texture steady for longer. The same oleic acid is the heart-healthy fat found in olive oil and avocados. For the record, peanuts have about 49 g of fat per 100 g, just under almonds at around 51 g.
Where do the nuts come from?
Not Switzerland — yet! That’s the dream. For now, we go as close as we can and organic when we can. Our almonds come from a regenerative farm in Spain. Our peanuts come from Argentina. They’re hi-oleic because they’re the best — richer, tastier, and better all round. We don’t do average, and we’ll keep searching for the best, as close to home as possible.
Should I keep it in the fridge or cupboard?
Cupboard, all the way. Cold butter is hard butter — and no one wants that. Just give it a stir now and then, and you’re good.
